As well as being a Music with Mummy Teacher, I am also Regional Coordinator for the areas of Scotland, Northumberland and Tyne and Wear.
As Regional Coordinator I am independently licensed to recruit my own *Music with Mummy Teachers, so I am always delighted to hear from people who are considering pre school music teaching as a career/business opportunity.

As a *Music with Mummy Teacher you need to be able to do the following:
- Sing in tune both unaccompanied and accompanied.
- Have a clear speaking voice
- Be a strong communicator
- Have experience working with children or as a parent.
- Enjoy working with/being around children.
- Have bags of enthusiasm and energy for the role.
- Have a real desire to build and run a worthwhile, profitable business.
- Have undertaken CRB Clearence. ( in the process of gaining)
Classes can be run on a full or part time basis throughout school term (there are also holiday programs available). *Music with Mummy Teachers operate classes from their own homes or small venues. Our class material was written to be delivered this way because it offers a friendlier and cosier environment for babies and young children. That said our material works wonderfully well in nurseries and pre school groups as well as birthday parties and special events. As the business owner you get to decide what you want to do, dependent on the time you have available.
There are three licenses available for teachers to operate these are:
- Jolly Babies - for birth-1 year old (accompanied by an adult)
- Music with Mummy - for 1-4 year olds (accompanied by an adult)
- 3 4 Time - for 3-5 year olds (unaccompanied)
Teachers can choose to operate one, two or all three licenses and they can introduce a second and third license at any time after their initial training is completed.
Training and set up costs are low, offering an easy start-up, minimal risk opportunity.
