ABOUT US
'Da Capo Music Partnership' was launched in 1992 in Hampshire by husband and wife team David and Diane Cox. David who holds a music degree, teaches Clarinet, Flute and Saxophone and is a professional jazz musician, arranges and composes all of our music and songs, many of which are original. His wife Diane, a former early years educator, writes all of our wonderful class material.
Our award winning pre school music classes operate on three levels, Jolly Babies, Music with Mummy and Three Four Time. Classes run very successfully in over 180 Cities, Towns and Villages throughout the U.K and in 7 other countries around the Globe.
Class teachers, many of whom are music teachers, musicians and singers or who have a background in music and childcare and/or teaching are carefully chosen and trained by 'Da Capo Music Partnership' to deliver their wonderful class material and music.
It's important to point out that our pre school music classes do differ from others. Our classes are kept intentionally small and are always run in a warm and cosy environment, which is either the teachers home or in a small venue. Our baby classes have a maximum of just 8 babies to a class, our Music with Mummy classes have a maximum of 10 toddlers and children and our Three Four Time classes have a maximum of 12 children.
Smaller groups are a perfect way to introduce babbies, toddlers and children to social situations, particularly as they near nursery or school age. Our whole class structure is geared towards building a child's confidence through music and rhythm, so that when they are ready to take their first steps away from mummy, it will not be such an intimidating or frightening experience for them.
Another huge benifit to smaller class sizes is that children actually get the opportunity to build a bond with the class teacher, not only does this help build their confidence, communication and social skills it also helps children understand and become familiar with the teacher/child relationship, in preparation for nursery and school.
There is something hugely positive about bringing your child into an environment where they can benefit from genuine one to one interaction with the teacher. We are very proud that our classes offer young children this important experience.
Please take a look at our 'Jolly Babies', 'Music with Mummy' or 'Three Four Time' pages within our 'All About Our Classes' tab on the home page for more information on content of our classes.
