Music with Mummy pre school music class is the second stage in our three tier music system This class offers a structured 6 weekly program (theme) which takes toddlers and children further in to the wonderful world of Music and Rhythm.  Music with Mummy classes are perfect for children aged 1-3 years, though children up to the age of 4 are very welcome. Children attend these classes with an adult; this could be Mummy, Daddy, Granny, Auntie or even a Child Minder.

Music with Mummy pre school music classes are run in a friendly, warm and safe environment where young children can develop and grow in confidence. Classes are kept to an optimum of 8 (maximum 10) allowing for greater child teacher bonding. Keeping our classes small and intimate is one of the key elements which separates our pre school music classes from others. We know that at this tender age getting the right balance can be the difference between a child relaxing into and enjoying the experience or feeling uncomfortable, intimidated or even frightened by it.

Our Music with Mummy pre school music classes run in themes, with a new theme being introduced every six weeks. Within each theme we introduce concepts such as 'loud and soft'. All our theme content is original, as is much of our music.

At the end of each theme each child will receive a personalized laminated certificate, in recognition of their achievement.

Classes begin each week with the children welcoming each other through gestures and song, this is designed to build confidence and social skills.

We then move on to learning songs and recapping on ones already learned within the current theme. Songs include actions or movement and props, which are also used to link areas of the theme together.

We have listening time where children are encouraged to sit and have a cuddle with their adult or a toy and listen to a specially selected piece of music.

Percussion time offers children the opportunity to play a large and varied selection of percussion instruments encouraging them to follow the rhythm of the music.   

Classes last 30-35 minutes with an optional 30 minutes social time at the end. This will be held in the bar area at the Pro-Soccer Complex, where adults can purchase  refreshments and snacks if they wish, or simply have a chat with other Parents and Carers. You are of course free to stay on after social time is finished or, if the weather is favorable, you may prefer the idea of taking your child for a play in the park.
